I bought this about a year ago, and still use it from time to time today. You will definitely see results if you stick to it in terms of smoothing out bumpy skin. I had legs that were riddled with cellulite and used this consistently. I bruised A LOT when i first started and it was unsightly, but also gave me reassurance that when it'd clear my skin would be smoother. Now I don't bruise at all, but i still use it out of habit. I've attached a picture so you can see how crazy it looked. DEFINITELY WORKS.
To begin, I am NOT a paid reviewer and received NO discount. I found this product because it popped up in the "recommended" area. Anyway, I have struggled with some cellulite on the back of my thighs since I've been 19. I was super tiny at the time and in the shape of my life, but somehow cellulite popped up out of nowhere. It's genetic supposedly. Blah, genetics. Anyway, I am now 33 and a size 8 and it hasn't gotten worse, but it's still there and won't go away. I have tried everything. I ordered this because I'm at the point where I'm willing to try anything. This is actually helping, and it's hard to believe. Here's what I've noticed:
1-I tried using this in the shower and it hurt like hell. It didn't matter that it was all wet, it felt like it was going to pull my skin off! I found that using it after a shower after you have put a TON of lotion on you is the best time. I rubbed a cellulite burner cream on my thighs generously and then used this for about 5 minutes. It glided along nicely. It is still a bit uncomfortable, but it isn't painful. 2-This came with no instructions. I have been using it in circles on the area (Karate Kid: Wax on, Wax off.) and then actually slapping the area with it. Don't laugh, it's working. 3-It gets less uncomfortable the more you use it.
This hasn't gotten rid of my cellulite 100%, but it has helped. It has made the skin seem smoother. I have the "line cellulite", not the "dimple cellulite" and it has made the lines appear a lot finer and smoother. This isn't a magic tool, but it helps. I love this thing! The soft plastic bristles do all the work so don't rub this vigorously on your legs or wherever you have cellulite. I accidentally popped some little blood vessels because I went to deep with it so you like areas. I use this twice a day and love it!!!!!
I did notice that since I have started using the massager I no longer experience the pain in my upper thighs that I get from sitting all day at a computer. That alone is worth it for me. More circulation my legs feel great.

I usually get pedis every 2 weeks but have fallen on hard times. Clearly I don't know how to take care of my own feet because they end up looking like this lol. Anywho, this Amope worked wonders. I probably should have gotten the coarse head because it took me like 15-20 mins to get both feet looking like this.
I was thankfully blessed with a pretty face. In return for that I was handed the ugliest feet ever! I have tried everything. I stopped going to get pedicures because it was so embarrassing. No sandals and I live in Florida. NOT ANYMORE. I received this gem and opened it right away. I can't believe I'm going to do this, but I'm posting before and after pictures. I am amazed! ok, this is by far the best thing you can get for your feet. The cost is about of one trip to a salon to get a pedicure, but you can treat your feet way more that once. Before you get grossed out by my pictures, let me tell you, my always walk barefoot, inside the house, out on the patio, played a lot of tennis and all of that reflect on the pics. And since pictures speak louder that words I figured to take the embarrassment and share the results. 10 minutes after using Amope Pedi my feet transformed. I have bought another brand of almost identical product but the motor was so weak it's not worth spending money other similar looking pedi. I highly recommend this product!
I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this, and I was concerned about the number of complaints that the unit stopped working when pressing against a callous. After using it, I found that the only reason it would stop spinning was because I pressed too hard. Pressing harder against the callous isn't going to get rid of it faster. A callous is multiple layers of dead skin: it's going to take work and a little patience to get rid of it. Before my first use, I had thick callouses on my heels and on the sides of my big toes. This unit worked wonderfully to remove them. I spent about 15 minutes on each foot: considering this was my first use, that's not too bad. It's important to clean the roller after using it- otherwise, it is not as effective. The removed "flakey skin powder" builds up and sticks to the roller, which is like coarse sandpaper. You'll notice the difference in how it works when it's clean versus when its not. Major difference.
When you open the package, just peel apart the plastic from the top and sides, it unsnaps pretty easily. Be sure to remove the clear plastic cap that goes over the roller head. It's easy to overlook and accidentally throw away. Take care not to tear the cardboard insert - that's your instruction manual. You may need a magnifying glass to read it though, the font is probably about a size 2 - no kidding! Read it though, or at least skim through it. Cleaning instructions are simple- the unit is NOT WATERPROOF. Remove the roller by pressing on the blue button with the arrow, pull the roller out and rinse it under warm running water. Dry with a cloth towel before replacing re-using it. Simply wipe the rest of the unit with a damp cloth.
One thing to be aware of is the fine dust created when using this tool. I sat outside on my deck to do it, and I recommend using it outdoors if it's possible, otherwise, you wind up with a coating of powdery white dust / dead skin flakes all over the place.
The handle is comfortable and easy to grip. My hands are on the smaller side, and I found it quite comfortable to work with. The rolling head spins pretty fast, and it's a very course surface, making it highly effective when used properly. As long as you make contact with the callus, it's working to remove it. Pressing harder against it does nothing to increase the effectiveness, in fact it slows down the roller and, as mentioned before, will cause it to stop spinning altogether. When using, it's best not to keep the roller on one spot for more than a few seconds: keep moving it around so you don't wind up burning (heat from friction) and damaging the soft skin under the calluses. You may not feel it burning while it's happening, but it will feel sore later on. Rub your feet with some good quality foot lotion afterwards. You're going to love your feet!
Why did I wait so long to try this? My feet were just terrible. As a country girl who would go barefoot all the time if I could, my feet were not cute. After one time of using this my feet are incredibly soft and smooth. I would recommend doing this over a wastebasket or old towel because there is "callous dust" that floats off and nobody wants that on their floors or furniture. Yuck. Overall I would highly recommend this if you want baby soft feet.
It does a great job of "finishing" your smoothing process. I use one of those large cheese-grater-looking things to get callouses off, and then smooth with this. The combo works well. This alone just is not strong enough to really get callouses and hard skin off of heels.
